North Dakota State Requirement Details for Real Estate Continuing Education
School Code/Approval Number: Course approval numbers are listed next to each course.
Every one (1) years, nine (9) clock hours of Real Estate Continuing Education is required.
· Real Estate Courses must be completed by each December 31st
· Mandatory course requirements for this continuing education cycle are three (3) hours devoted to the following topic: appointed agency. The CE Shop offers only elective hours at this time. Please see our catalog for elective course listings.
Licensees cannot complete more than 8 hours of CE in one day per ND REC rules.

Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five (5) years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Licensees are encouraged to retain copies of their Certificates of Completion in the event that they are audited by the state. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate(s) of Completion with your renewal.
Real estate course completions are recorded with the North Dakota Real Estate Commission each business day. It may take 2-4 business days from the time we report your hours before the Commission updates your license and/or updates their website with the hours.
Please enter your individual license number correctly and fully when prompted in the registration process to ensure the reporting of your hours takes place. North Dakota license numbers should be four (4) digits.
