Rhode Island State Requirement Details for Real Estate Continuing Education.

The CE Shop is an approved school in Rhode Island. Each of the real estate courses below has been approved for our school. Individual approval numbers are not provided by the state.

Every two (2) years, twenty-four (24) clock hours of Real Estate Continuing Education is required.

• All licensees renew on April 30th of every even numbered year.
• Six (6) hours must be from one or more of the following core topics (other topics may also be approved). Core hours are demonstrated on the catalog by an asterik and are listed under the mandatory column:
  • Contract Law
  • Fair Housing
  • Lead Hazard Mitigation
  • License Law
  • Agency Law
  • Ethics
  • Mortgage Fraud
  • Diversity
  • Brokerage Relationships
  • Environmental Issues

Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five (5) years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Licensees are encouraged to retain copies of their Certificates of Completion in the event that they are audited by the state. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate(s) of Completion with your renewal.
